Concerning Ties
There are certain things the modern man will want to avoid if you want to remove yourself from the visual of an 80s doppelganger.

Wear a thin tie. Nothing ages you more than a thick tie. Keep it slim.

Mind your knots. If you want to go for the used car salesman or stuffy principal look, go for that loose Windsor. For the up to date man, tie a firm knot and add a dimple [instructions].

Be careful going seasonal. Nothing screams ill planned style louder than a tie with little snow men or Santa Claus peppered across the fabric. If you want to get in a holiday mood, try getting into the spirit via colors and patterns, not tacky images of the holidays.
