Fall 2008’s Best Tall Boots

From flats to super heightening, I’ve compiled a list of my picks of the best boots for the Fall 2008 season.  They are seperated by heel size, and include a range of pricing to fit all budgets.

>1″ Heel

From left to right: Cordani ($197), Te Casan ($495), Celine riding boots ($750), Sigerson Morrison boots ($795), Golden Goose rider boots ($1180)

For the utilitarian lover who wants to get things done and not worry about blisters here, there and everywhere; I present my choices for the best nearly-flat boots (and my personal favorites).  Run around in these all day, and you will still feel like you can take on that rogue Croc wearer after 8+ hours up and moving! Hurrah!

>”3 Heel

From left to right: Steve Madden marching boot ($199), Sudini boot ($199), Frye Andrea boot ($427), Frye Ava boot ($497), D&G Sally boots ($895)

For the safe, yet still heeled road.  3 inches will still give you the womanly look and height booster (if you need it), but may still take a toll on legs and feet from a full day’s walking.  I suggest gel insoles (they really work).

>4″ Heel

From left to right: Steve Madden Enact boot ($199), Boutique 9 Derby boot ($299), Bebe Madeline tasseled boot ($298), Jean Paul Gaultier contrasting leather boot ($1,185), Dolce & Gabbana patent buckled boot ($1,650)

These boots aren’t made for as much walking as the practical woman may want to do, but you’ll look bloody amazing walking down the street (or wherever you are).  That and you’ll demand respect; 4 inch heels and over take discipline!
